CHK Design studio creates visual communication systems. Our visual output spans all media – from digital to analogue; from corporate, web and app design, to magazine, book and exhibition design.

We have an analytical approach to design and research is one of the key elements in each of our projects. Our ethos is simple:

Christian Küsters

Director Christian Küsters received his MFA from Yale University and his BA from the London College of Printing. Christian also established the digital type foundry, Acme Fonts. Christian has lectured at Central St Martins College and Camberwell College of Art and has written for a number of leading design publications. He is the author of Restart: New Systems in Graphic Design (published by Thames & Hudson). He conceived, co-curated and co-designed Design Now – Graphics, an exhibition on contemporary graphic design for the Design Museum, London. Christian is art director of leading architectural publication Architectural Design (AD), edited by Helen Castle.

Henry Horton

Henry provides the digital strategy and oversees the technical team. Henry ensures the deliverable of the best fit solution for enhancing the user experience. With over 20 years, Henry has worked with teams to develop and integrate a wide range of information systems, development platforms and database technologies for design agencies, startups and corporate clients including English Heritage, Historic England, Reuters, SingUp, Shell, and Youth Music.

Barbara Nassisi

Barbara received her BA in Graphic Design from the University of Brighton. She has been a member of CHK Design since January 2018. Since joining the team she has worked with various clients including AD Architectural Design, Fedrigoni and the AAIS.
